Bill & Cathy Gillette

Bill's High School classmate Bill Gillette & wife Cathy from Denver, CO visited the Twin Cities for the weekend. Friday evening the two Bills met at the Marriott Hotel and talked for hours about Bloomfield and their days in submarine duty. Jane called at 12:30am and both of the Bills could not believe it was more than 11:00pm.
Saturday afternoon Bill & Cathy were dinner guest of Bill & Jane. The 1st course was prepared by Mama (Jane's mother) it was a winter melon soup with pork meatballs. The 2nd course prepared by Bill was poached scallops in a champagne & heavy cream sauce and had a small salad with the old Locus Lawn house dressing. The 3rd course prepared by Jane was Chinese sweet & sour chicken with sides of celery & shrimp, stir-fried green beans & garlic, and pot stickers. Topping off the feast were chocolate/creme-de-mint ice cream sundaes with dragon wafers. It was not a meal, it was an event with food, old friends and good conversation spread over several hours. We copied and have included a picture of Bill G's motorcycle.
