Bill & Jane attended the USS Lafayette Submarine Reunion 20 minutes south of Memphis, TN. We totally enjoyed the group tours for both the Rock'n'Soul Museum and Graceland, and dinner one evening at "Rum & Boogie" on Beale Street. But most of the week was filled with Bill renewing old friendships and making new friends. The high point of the week was the Banquet and it was perfect, with the 2 original Commissioning Crew Commanding Officers, Patrick Hanifin & James Strong, commissioning the new Lafayette Association. Summary: tall stories, smiles, drinks, tears and pure joy were all in abundance.
