We arrived one week after the Mardi Gras, the weather was perfect. We visited the French Quarter, Bourbon Street, Jackson Square, had a Hurricane at Pat O'Brien's, experienced the Jazz at Preservation Hall and learned the history at the Destrehan Plantation. We ate a beignet at Café du Monde, dinner at the Court of Two Sisters and had lunch at both Mother's and Brennan's. While on the Natchez paddlewheel boat we called Mom and let her hear the live jazz that she and dad enjoyed so much on their visits here. She could not keep from crying from the joy of the memories. We want to visit again during a Minnesota winter.
