We stayed in Paris with Jie Shi, his wife and son. He was a university classmate of Jane in China. From their home we took the subway trains every day and were able to see the Arc de Triomphe, Cathédrale Notre Dame, Eiffel Tower, The Louvre (with Venus de Milo and Mona Lisa) and Chateau de Versailles. On the tour map was the Place de la Bastille, we went to the intersection and walked a few blocks in each direction, but couldn't find it. When we asked we found out that it was torn down during the revolution.
