Bill made a quick trip to Kansas City to see the Twins play the Royals with his submariner buddy Herb Murphy and wife Ana Maria. First was a tour of the Kansas City Train Station Museum that proved to be very interesting. Next we met Gene Wright another USS Lafayette shipmate. Then the baseball game that the Twins won while sweeping the 4 game series. The weekend objects of seeing the game with old friends, telling tall stories about the past and drinking large quantities of beer were all accomplished. However, in our 20's beer consuption would have been a few cases, but this week end it was only a 6 pack each.
