Since Bill was in his mid teens he has wanted to attend major league baseball spring training camps in Florida. It has taken 50 years and he has finally made it to the New York Yankee Legends Field in Tampa and the Minnesota Twins Hammond Field in Ft Meyers. At the Yankee camp he shook hands with former slugger Frank Howard now a Yankee coach.
On Sunday Mar 9th, Bill drove to Ft Meyers to see the Yankees play the Twins at Hammond Field. Seat in lower level near 3rd base in the open air stadium, a hot dog and a beer - WOW a great afternoon, the sunburn was a bonus.
